With November just around the corner, I want to introduce you to an idea: annual reports as infographics.

I will be the first to say that annual reports are a huge chunk of work, especially if your team hasn’t produced them previously. However, I also know that they are extremely valuable because annual reports:

  1. Show how much your team has done in the past year, and feel good about it – we all need a reminder sometimes of the great accomplishments we’e made
  2. Prepare the team for the new year – it is so important to reflect on your accomplishments before you move ahead
  3. Show your stakeholders/partners/funders the great work you have done

Having said that, yes they are A LOT of work. But, have you thought about creating a quick one-pager year in review infographic for your team (i.e. an internal product)?

The great thing is that you don’t have to do it alone. Because you are summarizing your team’s accomplishments, it’s probably a good idea to ask them for help to gather the facts and figures you need. And you being the infographic expert and the one with the interest, can execute the idea!

The number one tip I have for you is to identify your objective and audience for this mini-project, because that will help you produce a purposeful product. Use the 9-step guide we shared earlier to help you plan the infographic.
